We are thrilled to announce that Taos Art Museum has not only met but has exceeded its $2.4 Million capital campaign goal!
We are deeply grateful to each and every one of you who played a crucial role in this achievement with gifts of all sizes. These contributions, totaling over $2.5 Million, are not simply bricks and mortar but are the foundation of Taos Art Museum's future, enabling the Museum to construct a new 2,000-square-foot gallery and a new art and archival building with a vault for the Museum's growing permanent collection. These facilities, beautifully designed by Henry Architects, will meet current museum standards and pave the way for a more vibrant and dynamic future.
The campaign was launched with a remarkable show of support from Janis and Roy Coffee, longtime supporters of the Museum. Their significant cash investment and donation of 150 extraordinary paintings and drawings by Taos masters set the stage for a transformative new chapter in the Museum's history that will benefit the Taos community and visitors worldwide.
Upon learning about the capital campaign's success, the Coffees said, "We are overjoyed to learn that Taos Art Museum has achieved its capital campaign fundraising goal. It's truly heartwarming to witness the generosity of our friends and museum supporters who have contributed to this exciting endeavor to build new facilities that will securely house and display the Museum's world-class art collection."
This ambitious fundraising effort would not have been possible without the leadership, hard work, and dedication of Taos Art Museum's board of directors and campaign volunteers Lowell and Nancy Duncan.
Construction of the new buildings is well underway and is expected to be completed in the fall of 2024. We sincerely appreciate the generous support of the following donors who made it possible, and look forward to welcoming everyone to our new, expanded facilities.
