These stoneware cups by Rachel Donner are inspired by the 1955 painting, "Black Door with Snow." Approx. 4.5 tall and 3.5 diameter. The colors of the small "cobblestones" vary. A beautiful homage to Georgia O'Keefe!

Donner says of her process, "Creating something out of clay is like healing a wound. My work is dictated by process and the sentimental experience of interacting with precious items on a daily basis." She has completed a number of artist residencies at notable institutions including Red Lodge Clay Center (MT) and Watershed Center for Ceramic Arts (ME).

Rachel Donner is the great-granddaughter of Nicholai Fechin.
