Micaceous Clay Jar by Ben Romero
This traditional micaceous clay jar was handmade by Taos Pueblo artist Ben Romero. This piece features a beaded medicine bundle complete with delicate multi-color feathers. It is 3" deep, 5.25" wide and 6.5" tall with a variated surface.
Born and raised at Taos Pueblo, New Mexico, Romero uses locally found micaceous clay. He upholds the tradition of his ancestors with his clay bears, turtles, horses, bowls and sculptures that depict everyday life at Taos Pueblo.
