This peaceful matted print entitled New Moon is by Taos artist Reina. The piece is 6" x 4", titled and signed by the artist.
Since 1979, Reina has made her home in the countryside outside of Taos, New Mexico. Surrounded by deep canyons, rocky cliffs and high mesas, much of her inspiration and personal strength comes from this landscape. Using only 100% rag paper, once Reina's colored pencil is applied, nothing can be erased. She applies 4-5 layers of color, then finishes each piece with fixative to keep the color stable. Her works are meditative and healing pieces that are all taken from her personal photographs.
