“Meditation Place" by Jean LeGassick
Meditation Place, Jean LeGassick, Oil on canvas, 6" x 8," framed.
Jean LeGassick paints en plein air because “nature is the greatest teacher”. She prefers travel by truck and camper so she can camp right at the source of her inspiration, and often uses mule pack trains and hiking with art supplies carried on her back to remote campsites to immerse herself in the natural world. Her favorite places to paint are the rugged mountains, deserts, and coastlines of the West.
She graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, in 1979 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. In addition to the Plein-Air Painters of America, she is a Signature Member of the California Art Club.
