Taos Art Museum Celebrates Opening of New Facilities with a Community Weekend
The wait is over! Taos Art Museum is thrilled to announce the opening of the new Janis and Roy Coffee Gallery and the completion of the Nathaniel "Nat" Troy Art and Archival Building. To celebrate this occasion, we invite you to a Community Weekend on April 26-27, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with free admission to all exhibitions and programs.

The Sky Eagle Collection Fashion Show will be held outside in the Museum Gardens and will showcase 20 stunning looks modeled by members of the local community. This event highlights the deep connection between fashion, art, and cultural storytelling, bringing together the creative spirit of Taos.
As part of the Taos art scene, Sky-Eagle Collection has built strong relationships with neighboring artists, businesses, and community members, fostering a collaborative and supportive creative ecosystem. This fashion show celebrates that shared artistic vision, featuring designs that reflect heritage, resilience, and the beauty of the Southwest landscape.
Beyond the runway, this event embodies the spirit of community engagement, uplifting local talent and creating space for diverse expressions of Indigenous and contemporary fashion. With the historic Fechin House as the backdrop, the show will blend tradition and modernity, honoring the legacy of Taos as a hub for artists, makers, and storytellers.

5:30 pm - Concert by Pianist Katya Grineva
The weekend will conclude with a performance by Katya Grineva at the Fechin House. She will present selections from her recent Carnegie Hall program, Music that Celebrates Eternal Mysteries. The program will include rare pieces by 11th-century Saint Hildegard von Bingen, Oh Glittering Starlight, Gurdjieff/Hartman's The Initiation of the Priestess, and Liszt's first Légende, St. Francis of Assisi Talking to the Birds. Additionally, she will perform timeless classics such as Chopin's Nocturne No. 2 and Fantasie/Impromptu, Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, and Debussy's Clair de Lune, among others.
