Over the past few years, the Taos Art Museum at Fechin House has renovated the historic house, updated its infrastructure and technology, and revitalized the grounds and landscaping. In addition, we have seen a 75% increase in visitation arising from outstanding special exhibitions, new public programs, and children’s activities, along with significant recognition and grants by individual and foundation donors.
The Museum recently completed a branding initiative to articulate these accomplishments and capture the momentum within a new logo, complete with signage and wayfinding.
It’s all there, our history and our future. Nicolai Fechin’s own unique design from one of his carvings in the Museum and the colors of the artworks from the collection are united with our full name in the context of a strong and vibrant institution.
This year, as Taos celebrates the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Taos Society of Artists, the Museum looks with pride to our past – as the stewards of such a rich cultural heritage — and with great excitement to what comes next – as we embrace the Museum’s expanding role in service to local, regional, national, and international communities.
