New to the Museum: Treasure Hunt and Docent Tour!
The Taos Art Museum at Fechin House announces two new ways to explore its historic House Galleries, Studio, and Garden: a Treasure Hunt for children and a Docent Tour for visitors.
Starting this week, young visitors are invited to visit the House lobby to pick up the Treasure Hunt map, absolutely free, follow the clues through the Garden and Studio, and claim their reward at the end in the Gift Shop. Their adventure will highlight details of the grounds and Studio that tell their own stories about life and art in Taos.
Museum visitors will enjoy docent tours that focus on an intimate view of the House and the remarkable history of artist Nicolai Fechin, his endless creativity, and undying love for his native Russia. The tour highlights the remarkable home he designed, built, ornamented, and furnished by hand for his family. Docent tours are offered at 11:00 AM on Saturdays and Sundays, and are included in the cost of admission to the historic house.
